At St. Andrew's Church, we believe that middle and high schoolers are not just the future of the Church—they’re a vital part of its present. Our Youth Formation program creates space for teens and tweens to ask big questions, explore their faith, and build lasting relationships in a safe, welcoming, and fun environment.
Our program includes a mix of spiritual formation, service, and social connection:
Acolyting & Liturgical Involvement: Youth are invited to serve during worship as acolytes, torchbearers, and readers. These leadership roles allow them to actively participate in the rhythm of our sacred traditions.
Scripture Study & Discussion: We offer regular gatherings for age-appropriate scripture study and open dialogue about how faith intersects with real life. Teens are encouraged to share their thoughts, doubts, and insights in a supportive environment.
Confirmation Discernment: For those considering Confirmation, we provide a dedicated discernment process. This includes mentorship, discussion sessions, and community involvement to help each young person explore what it means to make a mature commitment to their faith.
Field Trips & Interfaith Learning: Through visits to other places of worship and historical sites, our youth gain a broader understanding of Christianity and how it relates to other world religions and cultures.
Service Projects & Mission Work: Living out faith through action is central to our mission. Youth regularly engage in service projects both within the church and in the wider community. We often collaborate with youth groups from other local churches—across various denominations—for joint mission projects, fostering unity and shared purpose.
Social Events & Community Building: Fun is an essential part of building faith-filled friendships! Our youth participate in social events like pizza parties, game nights, and seasonal get-togethers—often in connection with service events—to strengthen community bonds and create lasting memories
