Palm Sunday – March 29
We begin Holy Week by gathering in the Parish Hall for our 9:30 AM service with the blessing of palms and procession, remembering Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem before moving into the liturgy together.
Maundy Thursday – April 2
At 6 PM we begin in the Parish Hall with a simple Agape meal, recalling the Last Supper and Christ’s command to love one another, with optional foot washing as a sign of humble service. We then move to the Sanctuary at 7 PM for the Eucharist, concluding with the solemn stripping of the altar as we enter the quiet watch of the night.
Good Friday – April 3
At noon we begin by walking the Stations of the Cross through Downtown Ayer, publicly remembering Christ’s journey to the cross and reflecting on suffering in our world today. Beginning at 1 PM, the Sanctuary will remain open for silent prayer and personal reflection. We conclude the day with the Good Friday liturgy, including scripture, solemn prayers, and veneration of the cross. There will be a Liturgy at 7:00 pm
Easter Sunday – April 5
We celebrate the Resurrection with joyful Eucharist and the sacrament of Baptism, proclaiming new life in Christ and the hope of Easter morning. There will be a Easter Egg hunt after church!
