Sunday School for Junior/Senior High School Students

High School Classes

Our Junior/Senior High School class is using a curriculum from the Santa Barbara Community Church in Santa Barbara, California called "We Believe". This is a thoughtful adult-level study guide that helps our students discover what Christians believe. Chapters include: We believe in God; We believe in Jesus Christ; We believe in the Holy Spirit; and so forth.

While reading the Old and New Testaments, accompanied by this study guide and classroom discussion, students learn the core tenets of our faith, including our covenant with God, sin, redemption, and the Holy Trinity. The curriculum also asks the question, "What are the differences amongst the major faiths?"

Ultimately, students have an understanding of what a Christian is and why Jesus is more than just an inspiring teacher.
