St. Andrew's Postcards

"St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Ayer, Mass."
During World War I, the Rev. Angus Dun's principal work was as a civilian chaplain to the service men at Camp Devens; the parish assisted him as they could. Perhaps that is why the St. Andrew's buildings appear a bit untended in this postcard image--the bushes along the path to the porch are untrimmed and the steps under the bell tower are missing. The photographer has etched in the cross atop the bell tower; the actual crosses on the Church were beautifully hand forged.
Black and white; divided back; no postmark or message; printed 1915-1920.
