St. Andrew's Postcards

"Episcopal Church, Ayer, Mass."

This is the earliest dated postcard showing St. Andrew's, and probably the earliest full-color printed postcard, as well. The printer has taken some poetic license with the colors, however. The Vicarage is shown painted dark red, although later postcard images clearly show that the shingles were not painted at all. There are no trees yet in front of the Vicarage and no electric light poles. At the right, the residence to the rear of the Church can be clearly seen.
