Junior & Senior High School

An illumination representing St. Mark the Evangelist, dating from the 10th century, included in the Byzantine manuscript known as the Trebizond Gospel. The Trebizond Gospel is now in the collection of the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Our Junior & Senior High School students will begin the year with an introduction on why the Bible was written, why Jews and Christians still read it, and how to locate Bible passages.

The class will spend the year exploring the Gospel According to Mark, the shortest and most action-packed account of Jesus' life and teaching in the New Testament. In addition to the New International translation of the Bible, the class will be using the Santa Barbara Community Bible Study series to guide us through this amazing book. This is a thoughtful adult-level study guide that connects the Gospel Of Mark to everyday life.

This class will be taught by John Ferrillo, parishioner and Harvard resident, who also leads our Monday morning adult Bible Study. Kayden Nasworthy will be John's student assistant. Parents of class members will serve as adult assistants.
